My first memory of Don was meeting him for the first time when we lived in Elk Plain,Wa. Darlene brought him home to meet the family. I was swinging in the backyard and yelled at him to watch what I could.I jumped off of my swing while i was still swinging and broke my wrist. It looked like a goose neck. So they picked me up and off we go to the doctor to get my wrist set. This was my first meeting of my soon to be brother-in-law.We had many more good memories through the years but one that happened probably a year ago , he asked me to take him to Kim grave on her birthday and take flowers so I said yes and off we go.we got to the grave site and it needed to be cleaned off so he carefully got down to the ground with the help of his cane and my hand. But got down on the ground and us both trying to get him back up we both fell to the ground and all we could do was laugh at us both rolling on the ground trying to get up. Of course not a sole in the cemetery to help us get up.All we could say was someone was going to come out and see us both rolling around trying to get up.But after about 10 minutes of laughter we managed to get each other up and back to the car. So we both had a good story to tell.
He was always there for me him and Darlene.thanks so much for being the best brother-in-law a person could have. You take care of our family up there in heaven and keep the light on tell we all meet again.
Love Ya Always
