Obituary of Harold Dean Woods

Harold Dean Woods, 92, of Puyallup Washington peacefully passed away on January 23, 2024 at home with his daughter after living with Congestive Heart Failure and Kidney failure for some time.

Dean was born on July 18, 1931 to Robert Newton Woods and Leola Allice Woods in Ragan Nebraska. 

Dean graduated from Santa Ana Senior High and entered the U.S. Navy. He served in the Korean War and received the National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Korean Service Medan and the Good Conduct Medal.

Shortly before his discharge from the Navy in 1954, Dean married Barbara Jean Abar Woods. Dean and Barbara went on to have two children, Kenneth Dean and Karen Jean.

Dean and Barbara began to travel around the United States in 1985 that lasted more than 16 years.

Dean was predeceased by his brother Bob, sister Lenora and sister Alice Lee and his wife Barbara.

Harold Dean Woods is survived by George Woods, brother , Kenneth Dean Woods son and daughter Karen Jean Hambrick.

Services will be held at Tahoma National Cemetary on March 25th 2024 at 2:30pm.
