Obituary of Annie Evelyn Bennett

Annie (Evelyn Ann) Posipanka Bennett passed on November 14, 2023 in Issaquah, Washington. She was born to Andrew and Anne Posipanka (nee Litvin, later Skintik) on March 8, 1942 in Cleveland, Ohio. She graduated from Parma High School.

While ice skating, she met Bruce Bennett and they married (later divorced). She was a loving and kind mother to two sons. She earned a Masters Degree from Cleveland State University and graduated with honors. In 1977 she moved to Salt Lake City and began a rewarding career with Dorsey (Novartis) Pharmaceuticals. She was very excited to accept a promotion in Seattle in 1984.

She was a caring and passionate animal lover. Dogs, cats and birds always found a place in her heart. She was very willing to watch over friend’s birds when needed, sometimes bird sitting over two dozen birds in her Issaquah home. She appreciated the fresh aroma of a rainy day.

She is survived by sons David (Cynthia) and Robert (Paula), grandson Ryan (Michelle), granddaughter Shelley, great grandsons Jack and Owen, and her brother Edward Skintik (Katherine). Special friends Nick and Diane LaCaze, Sarah Rogers, Janet Anderson and Tia cared deeply for Annie and were family to her. She touched our hearts and her radiant smile will always shine on in our memory.
