Obituary of Susan Marie Berry

Susan Marie Berry, a loving mother, wife, sister, aunt and grandmother. She was born August 4, 1944 to Cody and Mary Beardemphl in Tacoma, Washington, and passed away peacefully on October 9, 2023. A graduate of Franklin Pierce High School ('62) and hailing from the Tacoma/Puyallup area, she married Kenneth Terrile in 1970, who she met through a mutual friend. Together they welcomed their first son, Paul Steven in 1972 and second, Nicholas Anthony, in 1975.

A resilient woman, she was widowed all too soon in 1980 but recovered and continued to thrive thanks to the loving encouragement, support and comfort of her family and friends.

Marrying William Berry, a longtime friend in 2000, they celebrated 19 years together in their lovely log home in Orting, Washington.  It was a meeting place for family dinners where grandkids would often play and explore the outdoors until the dinner table was set.

Susan spent most of her life working in the medical field, primarily in the office setting.  She enjoyed connecting with people, coworkers, patients and doctors she worked with. Her last employer, from which she retired in 2013, Pacific Podiatry Group, was a second home to her, maintaining frequent contact with the many cherished friendships she'd made over the years.

Those that knew Susan, knew she was easy to talk to, loved conversation, laughter, and spending time visiting with her many different circle of friends.  She enjoyed Bunko, Birthday Club, visits with her sisters and monthly family dinners.

She had a big heart, and a smile and laugh that could light up a room. We will forever cherish the memories made with her and she will truly be missed.

Susan is survived by her siblings, Linda, Sharon, Cindy, Mary, two sons, Paul (Dayle) of Spokane, Nicholas(Marylou) of Kent and step daughter Megan (Mark) of Sumner. She had 6 grandchildren she was very proud of, Vincent, Gianna, Ellie, Lilah, Ian and Samuel and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Services for will be given on November 11, 2023 at 10am at All Saints Catholic Church in Puyallup, Washington. A reception will follow immediately after at All Saints Parish Center across the street from the church from 11:30-2:30pm.
