Obituary of Brian Scott Ford

Brian Scott Ford, 50, peacefully passed away on September 11th, surrounded by loved ones, following an 18 year battle with cancer.

Brian was born on January 27, 1973 in Yakima, WA. He graduated from East Valley High School in 1991. The following year, he married his middle school sweetheart, April. Brian and April went on to have two daughters, Tayler and Chantel.

Brian’s hobbies included hunting, fishing, shooting guns and spending time with his many friends. Some of Brian’s most cherished memories were hunting trips to Kettle Falls, WA and fishing at Drano Lake. Brian was a very successful hunter, rarely ending a hunting season empty handed. His proudest hunting achievement was tagging a bull elk in November 2021.

He is survived by his wife April, daughters Tayler (Cole Bergeson) and Chantel, granddaughter Leah. He is also survived by his brothers Brad Wilson (Wendy) and Jered Barnett, sister Kacey Ford, father Kenneth Ford (Sue), mother Donna Barnett (Scott), grandmother Ruby Keeth, in-laws Steve and Lorraine Ream, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Brian is preceded in death by his grandfather Spurgeon Keeth Sr. and grandparents Woodrow and Lula Ford.

Brian’s Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 30th, 11:00 AM at Wiley Union Church in Yakima, WA. Reception to follow.
