Obituary of Donald Boyle

Don died peacefully at home with his five children by his side.  He was preceded in death by his wife Carol, his parents Edward and Rose, his siblings, John (Lorraine) Boyle, Fr. Edward Boyle, Martin Boyle (Patricia), Patrick Boyle (Kay) and Fr. James Boyle. 

Don was born July 23, 1930 in Tacoma, WA.  He was the 4th of 6 sons born to Rose (Mettler) Boyle from Steinen, Switzerland and Edward Boyle from Ardara Co., Donegal, Ireland. 

On November 17, 1951 he married Carol-Lee Wesson of Los Angeles, CA.  They shared 5 children together and is survived by his children, Pat Boyle (Anna), Tacoma WA, Christy Stolz (Tracy Stenhjem), Pateros WA, Steven Boyle, Puyallup WA, Kathy (fka) Thompson (Bob), Edgewood, WA and Sandy Holtman (Pete), Edgewood WA, as well as 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. 

On February 16, 1985 he married Carol Kaastad from Fargo, North Dakota.  They were fortunate to spend 35 years of marriage traveling the country on and off his vintage Harley Davidson, horseback packing through the high country of Washington and gardening together.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman. 

Don began his working career at The Milwaukee Railroad then onto the Pacific Northwest Bell Telephone Company where he retired after 31 years.  Additionally, he spent over 20 years on the Board of Directors for Tacoma Telco Federal Credit Union (now Sound Credit Union). 

Christian celebration mass will be held Monday, August 28th at 1 p.m. at All Saints Catholic Church in Puyallup, WA (reception following).  Interment (the following day) at 12:30 p.m. at Gethsemane Cemetery, Federal Way, WA.
