Obituary of Dian Dorothy McQuade

 

Dian Dorothy McQuade, age 89, Died peacefully Wednesday morning October 5^th 2022 at home of stage 5 kidney failure.

Dian was born on May 5^th 1933 in Waitsburg, Washington.  Dian was the youngest of three children.  Dian and Joe met in 1953 and they were married April 24^th 1954 at St. Patrick’s Catholic church in Walla Walla.  They were married 68 years.

Soon after Sheryl their first daughter was born.  After discovering they could not have more children Dian and Joe adopted James and Robert from St. Anne’s Children’s home in Spokane, Washington in 1960 shortly after their birth.

Dian is survived by husband Joe, daughter Sheryl and her husband Denis, Son James and Son Robert and his wife Erin with many Grandchildren (Anthony, Joshua, Kate, Darren, Faith, Wyatt, Colin) and 3 great grandchildren – (Audrey, Robson and Charlotte).

Dian was a dedicated wife, mother, seamstress, master chef, real estate broker, X-Ray technician.  Dian in retirement was an avid quilter, cook and seamstress.  She shared her love of quilting with many friends. 

Services will be held at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Sumner, Washington Oct 14^th at 11:00am (1401 Valley Ave. E.) with a reception following the mass in the church hall;  A viewing will be held on Wednesday Oct 12^Th at 3pm to 4pm at Curnow Funeral Home in Sumner at 1504 Main Street.
