Missing my Dad who passed away on June 16, 2022 after battling multiple health complications for some time. He is and was always my champion and encouraged me in all of my endeavors. He would often ask me, "what's new and exciting?!" when he saw me, always wanting to hear my latest adventures. We have similar interests and talents, which he shared with me throughout his life including dancing, writing, journalism and others (no, I didn't become an electrical engineer but I knew how to make a good solder joint on a component by the time I was 10!). He excelled in the study of science while in school, leading him to become an Electrical Engineer and an avid hobbyist and inventor, of sorts. He was also a talented dancer in his youth and performed throughout the region alongside his sister Janice. Dad enjoyed singing (particularly Barbershop harmonies), directed numerous church and community plays and could always be found doing an electronics project or helping someone write a resume. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loved conversation and playing card and other games. Dad seemed to have a knack for implementing innovative ideas and improvements in the workplace and his other areas of service, some of which continued for many years after his tenure. He enjoyed serving in callings for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and often said that having a Christlike Love for others meant that you valued their success and well-being equal to or above your own. Thank you, Dad, for your love and for helping me navigate life for 44 years! I will miss your sense of humor, your wisdom and advice. I will miss our talks and being able to tell you my anecdotes and stories that always seemed to make you laugh. I know that you are in a good place with family and friends who have gone on before you. I love you and I know we will see you again!! As Dad used to sing in a booming, dramatic bass voice (he would sometimes play at being a theatrical bass but he was actually a tenor), "'Till we me-e-eet, 'till we me-eet, God be with you 'till we meet again..." ❤ ❤ ❤

I think my favorite memory of grandpa is just coming to see him and talk with him whenever I was around when I lived in the area, not very exciting but he always had interesting things to share and stuff he was passionate about. The little visits where I would listen to him for awhile and pick his brain, ask questions and be curious -
I think his endless curiosity and involvement in what he was doing with his time were some of the best parts of him.

Ron was my mentor when I was just beginning my craft as a theater technician.(Ivwent on to tech for City of Federal Way for 13 years at Knutsen Family Theatre) He was there to give me the basics. We even built a rudimentary light board together for a church play. I will always hold him in the highest esteem. He is a top notch mentor and fruend.

This was all so sudden for all of us, I feel like we haven't even been able to take a breath recently. But, when I do take time to pause and reflect, I realize how blessed we have all been. We've had so many rich and colorful experiences that we've shared with our father. They have shaped the way we've lived our own lives with our own families. I love and miss my father, dearly, and cherish the good times I've been able to spend with him. Until we meet again, Dad.
