Obituary of John Joseph Karuza

John Joseph Karuza aka "Joe Karuza" peacefully passed away on April 6, 2022. Joe was born June 15, 1948 to Jack & Wanda Karuza in Tacoma, Washington.  He graduated from Wilson High School, class of 1966. Joe is survived by his wife Gail Karuza of 21 years, his sister Billie Jo Tone, stepdaughters Julie Hartley (David), Melissa Geddes and Jennifer Holtzclaw (Todd), stepson Steve Smith (Emily), grandkids Madison, Daniel, Mark, Stephen & Bowman, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Jack Karuza and Wanda Williams, his two brothers Herb Floyd and Doug Karuza.

Joe was a loving and devoted husband to his wife Gail.  They had a special love and friendship to one another that you can't even begin to express with words.

He was an outstanding salesman, selling anything from tires & wheels to cars & trucks.  He retired from Sunset Chevrolet in 2019 and started enjoying his classic cars on a daily basis.  If there was a local car show Joe and Gail were more than likely there.

Joe has so many friends who will miss him dearly. The outpouring of compassion and kind words from so many is greatly appreciated by the family. Thank you all.

Please join us in a Celebration of Llife on May 28, 2022 at the Tacoma Sportsmen's Club in Puyallup from 2-6pm.  If weather permits please bring your hotrod or classic to honor Joe.
