Obituary of Douglas Leroy Johnson

Douglas Leroy Johnson was born in 1955.  He went to be with the Lord on March 24, 2021.

He worked as a Restaurant Manager.  He also worked in electrical sales and purchasing for many years.

His nieces and nephews were the light of his life.  He enjoyed spending time with them. He also delighted in spending time with his church family.  He particularly like missions.

He had a passion for science fiction books and films. We will miss his great smile, unforgettable laugh and warm hugs.  You would always know when Doug was in a theater or room by his laugh.

His courage in his long fight to survive childhood diabetes was an inspiration to many.

He is preceded in death by his father Orland, his mother Jane and his beloved son James.

He is survived by his wife Cathy; his sister, Judy; his sister, Trish Jungwirth and brother-in-law Virgil; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

A memorial service will he scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Doug’s memory to the Juvenile Diabetes Association and the American Cancer Society.
