Obituary of Florence Maurine Rosquist

Florence Maurine Rosquist, born January 13, 1930, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021.  She lived at Brookdale Senior Living in McMinnville, Oregon and had Alzheimer’s for several years.  She died at the age of 91.

 

Maurine was born January 13, 1930 in El Paso, Texas to Joseph and Annie Jellinghausen.  She was the youngest of 5 siblings.

 

Some of her church callings included Visiting Teacher and Primary Teacher. She also was a Librarian for many years. With her secretarial skills she kept the Library clean and organized. Everyone knew she could locate the materials they needed. She worked as a Secretary at United Way and West Coast Grocery in Tacoma, WA.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Joseph, John and Karl, and her sister Edna and her nephew Ward Weaver (known as Buster).

 

Maurine is survived by her daughters Karen Rosquist and Diane Huntley and her son Mark Rosquist.  She also has 4 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.  

Graveside services for Maurine will be on Friday morning, January 22, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., at Woodbine Cemetery in Puyallup, WA.
