Obituary of Joann Carol Standridge

Held in our Hearts Forever until we see her again!

She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She passed away from this world to heaven.

Joann Carol Standridge, 78, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at Good Samaritan Hospital from a stroke due to complications of chemo and radiation.  She was in the beginning stage of fighting lung cancer.

Joann came into this world on July 24th, 1942 in Bemidji, Minnesota to Julius and Irene Christenson.  She was born into a large family of 8 siblings.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Irene; her son, Brett Brooks; her sisters, Joyce Haynes and Marlyce Ellis; brother-in-law, Arden Helmka and her sister-in-law Sharon Christenson.

Joann is survived by her loving children, William (Sarah) Birmingham IV, Virginia (Darrell) Graves, David (Amy) Birmingham and Chrissy (Guy) Elms.  She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Joann will greatly be missed by her cherished and loved family along with so many others whom she took into her heart. 

Joann will be remembered for her sharp wit, beautiful voice and her yummy cooking.

We have comfort knowing she has no more pain.

We will miss her but know she is happy to be reunited with her loved ones.
