Obituary of LaVerne L. DeRocher Marecle

LaVerne L. DeRocher Marecle, of Puyallup, Washington, Passed away on May 28, 2020, at home surrounded by family.

She was born September 13, 1926, in Tacoma, Washington, the daughter of the late Ernest and Mabel DeRocher. She was the oldest of 3 siblings. On August 1, 1948 she married Raymond C. Marecle, who survives.

She graduated from Puyallup High School in 1944. On August 1, 1948, she married Raymond C. Marecle. For the next 22 years she lived her dream of being a stay at home mom, caring for her three children, who frequently came home to the scent of freshly baked cookies and hot chocolate.

Later she worked diligently in many positions, being an asset to several different companies.

She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served many in the leadership positions she held.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond C. Marecle of Puyallup Wa.; daughter Cynthia Matthews, of Gresham, Or.; son and daughter in law Rod and Marilyn Marecle, of Buckley Wa.; daughter and son in law Lisa and Millard Barney, of Puyallup, Wa.; nine grandchildren and thirty one great grandchildren. LaVerne was preceded in death by her brothers, Ernest and Clarence DeRocher; her grandsons, Brian Barney and Griffin Marecle.
