Obituary of Theresa Joy Tutt

Theresa Joy “Terry” Tutt died peacefully at Virginia Mason Medical Center on March 12, 2020 in Seattle, WA at the age of 69.

Terry is survived by her husband Ronald, her four children Emily, Randall, Hilary, and Courtney, and her three beautiful grandchildren Violet, Rose and Brendan. She is also survived by her brother Lawrence Wilson, and her sister, Shari Dee Roten, and Shari’s four children. She is preceded in death by her father Ernest Wilson and her mother Dorothy Wilson, both of Michigan.

Terry was born on February 8, 1951 in Ann Arbor, MI to Ernest and Dorothy Wilson. She graduated from Michigan State University in 1973. She married Ron in Washington, DC on October 20, 1979, and left for Seattle 3 days later. She blessed the world with two beautiful sets of twins (1 boy, 3 girls), 2 ½ years apart in 1983 and 1985. She was totally dedicated to her husband and children. They couldn’t ask for a more wonderful wife and mother.

Those who knew her saw her kindness, her great sense of humor, and her infectious laughter. She had a knack for giving nicknames to everybody that will stick with us forever. She also was a loyal and steadfast Seattle Mariner fan who would watch every game of the season right to the bitter end, regardless of the win-loss record.

A celebration of life will be planned at a future date yet to be determined. In lieu of flowers, the family would urge her friends and loved ones to make a donation in her name (Theresa J. Tutt) to one or all of our favorite and most significant organizations that helped us enormously during many of Terry's health issues: https://www.nwkidney.org/ https://pkdcure.org/ https://www.virginiamason.org/donate-or-volunteer https://www.bloodworksnw.org/
