Obituary of Carol Frances Hueneka

Carol Frances Hueneka, born in Tacoma, WA on June 15, 1928, passed away at the age of 91, peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on March 4, 2020.  Carol is survived by her daughter Suzie Emry, son-in-law Ray Emry.  Granddaughters: Amy, Melissa and Nicole.  Great granddaughters: Emily and Kayden as well as her brother Jim and sister Joanne, many nieces and nephews and the Gundy-Himmelspach family.  Carol was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, sons, grandson and many friends and relatives. 

For most of Carol’s life she worked as a banker at the First National Bank in Enumclaw, WA., she took great pride in banking.  In Carol’s spare time she enjoyed gardening, swimming and sharing memories with her family and friends.  Carol was an avid reader and for a short time she was a volunteer librarian at the Enumclaw library.  Carol was a member of the group “Friends of Orting Library”.  Carol felt that the answer to any question could be found inside the pages of a good book. 

The family extends a special thank you to Miranda for her compassion and kindness while Carol was on hospice.  Miranda took excellent care of Carol and was referred to by Carol as “an angel”.  Miranda, you have been a blessing and we appreciate you.
