Obituary of John Clarence Slick

John (Jack) Clarence Slick Born in Portland Oregon to Harry L and Dorothy Slick Jack as he was known by his friends and family was proceeded in death by both parents, sister Peggy Johnson, brother in law Dick Johnson, wife Suzanne Slick, son Gary L Slick, grandson Ricky Daffron nephew Steven M Slick He is survived by his wife Penny Slick, brothers: Harold (Jane) Slick, Paul Slick daughters: Debi (Jerry) Block, Tamara (Roy) Lempiaimen, Kathi (Paul) DePiro, Raabette Elliott ,sons: John C Jackson, Ben (Vanessa) Bushnell His grandchildren – Shanan, Stevee (Greg), Dalton, Andie, David (Kathryn), Michael, Matthew, Robby,Erica (Dane), Beverly(Justin), Steven (Carla) Jesse, Bryanna, Bryson,Jaxsyn. Along with several great-grandchildren. Jack grew up in the Spokane area, where his father Harry was a Methodist preacher, The family moved to the Seattle area in the 1950’s, where his career in construction began, During the late 1970’s, He sold cars at Nelson Chevrolet in Ballard until moving East to Cle Elum, where he built a beautiful home and enjoyed riding motorcycles, snowmobiles with family and friends. In 1991 he opened The Brass Bucket Tavern in Cle Elum which he ran until the mid 1990’s He met and married his Wife Penny L Bartow (Slick) in April of 1995 and they moved to Arizona where he became a huge NASCAR #24 Fan. While in Arizona he sold Luxury Motorhomes for Beaudry RV, after a few years in Arizona he and his wife relocated to Graham Washington when Jack again worked in construction retiring at the age of 70. Jack started having health issues in the Fall of 2018, in early July he was hospitalized due to pneumonia, passing on July 13, 2019 in Puyallup Washington We will be having a Party for Jack on Saturday August 17th @ 1:00 pm ~ 9901 257th St Ct E Graham, WA 98338 ~ POTLUCK , Please bring a side dish( we will be providing water and soda)
