Obituary of Debbra Lee Nelson

Debbra Lee (Welch) Nelson Jan. 17, 1960 - Nov. 2, 2010 Debbie grew up in Puyallup and was a 1978 graduate of Rogers High School. She resided in Bonney Lake for the past fifteen years with her husband, Russ. Debbie was an avid sports fan and never missed an opportunity to enjoy a football, basketball or baseball game; cheering on her favorite teams. She also enjoyed NASCAR, fishing, and taking care of her dogs, Sparky and Tyke. Debbie is survived by her loving husband, Russ Nelson, his daughter Erika, and two grandchildren, Dayton and Jade. She was born in Tacoma to Mary Johnson (Bob), and was preceded in death by her father Roy Welch Sr. (Barbara), and stepfather William Johnson. Debbie had a large blended family that included her sister Dianna Fritz (Fred) and brother Roy Welch Jr. Her siblings also included Cindy Hamlin, Cathy Shively, Darrell and Mike Hamlin, and Eric Lahmann. Debbie was known for her helpful nature and caring for others. Her kind heart and giving spirit will truly be missed. A family time of remembrance will be held at Experience Church, South Hill, Puyallup.
