Obituary of Mark Leppell

Mark Leppell Age 46 passed away at home on Sunday, October 17, 2010. Mark was born February 15, 1964 at Madigan Hospital, and lived his whole life in Puyallup, where he graduated from Puyallup High School in 1982. Mark started his real estate career in 1994 at Uniland Investment in Puyallup. He later expanded to developing and home building. He was known in the Pierce County real estate community as an honest, ethical, fair and hard working man. Mark loved his family, friends, all sports, and traveling. His greatest joy was watching his daughter compete in soccer, basketball, fastpitch, and volleyball. His loud enthusiasm for Chandler and her teammates his other "girls" will be missed by many, but probably not by any referees! He also had a passion for Husky football, PHS sports, and played softball for years, where he was known by many as OLefty'. His love of baseball sparked he and his buddies to visit almost every major league ball park in America. Mark was preceded in death by his son, Chad Haylor. He is survived by his wife, Kari; daughter, Chandler; parents Diane and Gerald Vetter, father Ken (Kay) Leppell, brother Lloyd (Gail) Leppell, grandmother Rowene Easter, grandson Dillon Haylor, in-laws Ken and Barbara Edmonds, brother-in-law Jake Edmonds. Mark is also survived by his extended Ofamily': The Schwartz, Asher, Rothermel, Couch, Hess, Raglin, Brunaugh, Imhof, Johnson, Smith, Dowdy, White, Haley, Hubert, Malnar, Jangard and Olson BBooth families. He will be greatly missed by all. Viewing will be Friday, October 22 from 5-8pm at Curnow Funeral Home in Sumner (1410 Main Street). A funeral service will be held on Saturday October 23 at 2:30pm at Mt. View Lutheran Church in Edgewood (3505 122nd Ave E). Donation to the Mark Leppell Memorial Fund will be accepted at any Umpqua Bank branch
