Obituary of LaVonne Faye Koppelman

LaVonne Koppelmaan, 71, went to the Lord peacefully July 10, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. She joins her husband, Clif, son, Kevin and parents in the gift of eternal life. LaVonne was born on August 27, 1938 in Norfolk, Nebraska to Rueben and Esther Voecks. After college she and her family moved to Puyallup where she met her future husband Clif Koppelman. They were married June 27, 1959 and resided in Puyallup. After retiring from Boeing she and Clif enjoyed traveling for the next ten years. She was a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Puyallup. LaVonne was involved in numerous groups within the church and local community. She enjoyed geneology, quilting, and scrapbooking. However, her greatest enjoyment came from her family and friends. LaVonne is survived by daughters, Sherri (Cary) Peterson, Kay (Reynoir) Peterson; Son, Ken (Kandace) Koppelman; Brother, Leon (Deanna) Voecks; 9 grandchildren, Ashley, Kaelin, Kendra, Kyler, Samantha, Drew, Brooke, Jake and Payton; 1 great-grandchild, Alana. A family graveside service will be held on Sat. July 17, 11 a.m. at Woodbine Cemetery for those who wish to join. A memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 720 W. Main, Puyallup. Contributions may be made in LaVonne's name to Immanuell Lutheran Church or the local Parkinsons Chapter.
