Obituary of Linus V. Dillenburg

Linus V. "Dill" Dillenburg passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on June 20, 2010 at the Enumclaw Health & Rehabilitation Center. Born October 6, 1922, in Pierz, MN, Dill later moved to Seattle, where he served on the Seattle Fire Department for 25 years. He was also a U.S. Army veteran stationed in Italy during World War II. He met Sue and they married in 1975. Recently they moved from Port Orchard to Enumclaw, WA to be near family. An outdoors enthusiast, Dill was an avid skier and fisherman. He also enjoyed reading and ballroom dancing, and had an extensive music collection. Dill is survived by his wife Sue of 35 years, and her family, Gayle, Nadine, Diane, Brenda and Brad, as well as 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind a daughter, Renata, and a son, Leonard, and three grandchildren of his own. A private memorial service will be held for family and close friends to honor his life.
