Obituary of Floyd E. Orum

Floyd E. Orum went to be with his Lord and Savior May 25, 2010 at the age of 78. He was born May 24, 1932 in Cement, Oklahoma to Tolbert and Oneda Orum. A proud veteran, Floyd served in the Korean war. He went on to work as a door-to-door milkman for many years brightening everyone’s day with his smile, wit and constant whistle. Later, he drove a semi for Vitamilk Dairy. He was also gifted in construction, building several homes for his wife and children. Floyd was a friend to all and loved by everyone who knew him. Floyd dedicated his life and love to his family and is survived by his wife, Lorraine, daughter, Vicky (Dave) Dahl, son, Jay (Robin), brother, Walter Orum, sisters, Elsie Franklin, Millie Mirandette-Bowen, Ruby (Clyde) Alvey, six grandchildren, Chris, Tiffany, Scott, Brian, Zachary, Katelyn, and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers, Troy Meeks, Joe Orum, Hershel Orum, and sister, Norma Couture. A special thanks to Dr. Liao, Sandra and the entire staff of Partner Oncology for their loving care. A private family viewing will be held followed by a private family graveside at Sumner Cemetery. A public celebration of Floyd’s life will be held on Wednesday, June 2nd at 3:00 pm at Calvary Community Church in Sumner.
