Obituary of Ruth Charlotte Lipke

Ruth Charlotte Lipke Ruth Lipke passed away Friday April 23, 2010 at the age of 98. She was born March 14, 1912, the daughter of Rudolph and Charlotte Schudy. She is survived by Stanley J. Lipke, her husband of 75 years, her sons Dale (Bonnie) and Dennis (Gayle), grandchildren Kristin Eberly (Richard), Dean Lipke (Anne), Jeff Lipke, and Denise Costanti (John), and great-grandchildren Jacob and Brian Lipke, Aiden and Nicholas Costanti. Ruth spent her youth on the family farm in Roy, attending Lacamas Grade School and Roy High School. After her marriage to Stanley, they moved to the Midland area where she lived for 54 years. She was employed by the Franklin Pierce School District. Ruth was an adventurous and talented person with many interests including sewing, cooking, gardening, painting, motorcycling, and traveling in the US and Europe, especially visits to her family in Switzerland. She made hundreds of Raggedy Anne and Andy dolls that are in good homes throughout the world. Ruth and Stan enjoyed more than 20 years at their winter home in Desert Hot Springs, California. Ruth was a very kind person and a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her.
