Obituary of Ronald H. Torkelson

Ronald Torkelson a full time resident of Tacoma died peacefully in his sleep Thursday, March 11. Ronald was a 20 year veteran of the Air force, having also served several years of that time in Vietnam. Ronald was also an active member in VFW Post 969 since 1977, during that time Ronald served as both Post Commander and Club-Board chairman. Ronald is survived by his wife of 10 years Shirley; daughters Vicki LaPointe and Kris Collier and son Ronald Jr; 6 grandchildren and his brother Conrad. A Wake Celebrating Ron's Life will be held Monday March 22, 2010 at 2:00pm at VFW Post 969. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society .
