Obituary of Edward Frank Wrobel

Edward Frank Wrobel Ed left us to be with our Lord on July 26, 2006. He was born on April 15, 1929 to Frank and Helen Papes Wrobel in Clark Mills, New York. He was one of seven children. He enlisted in the Army in W.W. II. He was stationed at the Army War College. After his tour of duty he met and married the love of his life Patricia Butler, a marriage that everyone said would not last because we were too young, on July 29, 1950. But it did last. In 1955 he set out for California with Pat and his 5 month old son Eddie Jr. Times were hard but they survived and soon Vernita was born and then Danny. In 1963 they moved to Washington State. He worked as a produce manager for several stores, the longest time with Johnny Food Centers in Spring Glen where he retired in 1991. He had received tools as gifts through the years for his woodworking shop; now he had a chance to enjoy them. He made and sold donated arbors, swings, arbor bench’s, bird feeders, bird houses and planters. Show him a picture of an item and he could duplicate it. He also liked to work in his veggie garden and dahlia bed. He was proud of his lawn and yard. He also did the inside work of his shop and rec room and the enclosed porch. With help he also remodeled the kitchen and the wood floors. Ed came down with lung cancer and that almost stopped his shop visits. He spent more time in the yard. He setup an arbor sanctuary for the blessed Mother whom he had great devotion and said his Rosary everyday. He is survived by his wife, Patty, son’s, Eddie Jr., Dan (Barb), daughter, Vernita, four grandchildren, Stacey, Nichole, Jason (Lindsay), Chris (Tanya), four great grandchildren, Breydan, Chloe, Jayda, Jason Jr., his brother, Dan (Edie) of New York. Sisters, Rosemary (Bill) O’Brien, El Centro, CA.; Elenore Ketchup, Massachusetts; Sister in-law, Nora Cebrate, Delaware; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, brothers, Ernest and Stanley Cebrate and sister Ann Belowich. He was dearly loved by his family and will be greatly missed. He was their rock to lean on. Remembrances can be made to the American Lung Association, Holy Disciples Building Fund or your favorite charity. A funeral mass will begin at 10 a.m. Monday July 31 at Holy Disciples Catholic Church, Puyallup. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Tahoma National Cemetery. Arrangements by Funeral Alternatives of Washington. (253) 863-2800.
