Obituary of Charles Curtis Patton

Charles Curtis Patton was born in Shamrock, Oklahoma to C.F. and Rena Patton on October 29th, 1928. He was the third of four children. Charles was raised and graduated from Shamrock High School and went on to graduate from business college in Oklahoma and worked many years for national trucking companies as a rate clerk. Preceeding him in death was his son Freddie L. Patton and his beloved wife Gussie Patton. He is survived by his daughter Toni (David), grandchildren Scott Gordon, Timothy Gordon, Seth Patton, Sarah Hadley (Chris) and Hannah Patton. Charles had an adventuresome spirit and loved traveling. After leaving Oklahoma the family moved to Phoenix, Arizona, Portland, Oregon, and finally to the Seattle area before settling in the Puyallup Valley. His great love of fishing took his family on many adventures to lakes and rivers around the state of Washington in earlier years. Charles was also very proud of his Indian ancestory and was a member of the Cherokee Tribe of Oklahoma A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 6, at 1:00 at Woodbine Cemetery followed by a memorial service at 2:00 at Bethany Baptist Church in Puyallup where Charles and Gussie served their Lord for many years.
