Obituary of Dexter Lee Ellis

Dexter Lee Ellis "Gone to Soon" 5/1/58 to 11/27/09 The day after Thanksgiving in the early hours, Dexter, after a 2 year courageous battle with lung cancer, passed away peacefully at home in his sleep. In his short 51 years of life he touched so many of us with his never ending ability to do it all. He loved to fish in the Puget Sound on his boat, play cards with his friends, kept busy building beautiful structures and possessed a green thumb that surpassed us all. Dexter was preceded in death by his father Ray. His quick wit and love of life will be severely missed by his mother Millie and his brothers Doyle (Pat), Gerry, and Rick (Lisa), Niece & Nephew Chad (Chrissy), Jennifer, Trevor and Brenna. He also leaves behind his daughter Kristina (Matthew) and three grandchildren Shailey, Devin, & Lylianna. Dexter lived a happy, fun filled life for the past 7 years with Kim. He grew very close to Kim's children Renee and Kristopher (Mallory) and was a grandpa to their three children Madelyn, Hannah, and Jake. The family is planning a private service. A Celebration of his life will be held on December 13, 2009 at 3:00PM at the Main Garden Restaurant 1106 E. Main Puyallup, Washington for his many friends to gather in his name.
