Obituary of Salvatore Anthony Giusti

Salvatore A. Giusti, D.D.S. passed away June 18th at 78 years of age from an extended illness. Sal was a Korean War veteran; a practicing dentist in Tacoma for 36 years and a member of the WA State Dental Association. He was appointed and commissioned by Governor Gardner to the Dental Disciplinary Board. Sal was a charter member of Sunrise Rotary Club and thoroughly enjoyed his rotary friends. Throughout his life, he emulated the rotary motto of “service above self.” Sal was born in Bristol, RI and moved to Tacoma in 1960. He is survived by wife Joan, son Steve (his wife Lynne, and daughters Allison and Shannon), daughter Laura (her husband Rick Smith), son David (his wife Karol, daughter’s Jessica and Jennay), daughter Mary (her daughter’s Lena and Sarah), and daughter Cindy (her husband COL Rick Thomas and daughter Lauren), brother Elia (Lee) Giusti and sister Carola Russo. Sal also has 2 great grandchildren. A Mass and celebration of his life will be held at the family residence on June 27th at 11:00 am. Sal most recently lived at Welcome Home at Savannah Ridge in Puyallup, an adult family home, where he received loving and compassionate care.
