Obituary of Barbara C. DeLarme

Barbara Carol (Walker) DeLarme of Buckley, Washington died Wednesday, April 29th, 2009. Barb was born in Summerville, Pennsylvania on October 19th, 1932. Barb lost her parents, Clarence and Lola Walker, when she was a teenager, and was raised thereafter by her brother Russ Walker and his wife Louise. She was married to Lane DeLarme of DuBois, PA for nearly 52 years. Lane and Barb moved to Buckley, Washington in 1961. Barb worked 14 years at Crystal Mountain Ski Resort as the lead bookkeeper. She was later the bookkeeper for Washington PAVE, a non-profit organization in Tacoma. Barb was loved and appreciated by friends and her family, especially her ten grandchildren. An infant daughter, Louise, her brother Russ, and her husband Lane preceded her in death. She is survived by her sons Lane Ashton (Shirley) DeLarme and Lance Walker (Janine) DeLarme, daughter Lola (Mike) Bowler, granddaughter Meghan (Taylor) McGee, and grandsons Tracy (Matthew) Whitcombe, Kurtis (Laurie) Bowler, Adam (Donna) Bowler, and Brant, Asher, Andrew, Ethan, Benjamin, and Isaac DeLarme. She also has four great-grandsons and a great-granddaughter on the way. Viewing is at Curnow Funeral Home, 1410 Main Street, Sumner, from 5 PM to 8 PM on Tuesday, May 5th, 2009. The funeral is at 2 PM on Wednesday, May 6th, at Puyallup United Methodist Church, 1919 West Pioneer, in Puyallup. Reception follows. Memorials to the March of Dimes.
