Obituary of Erma Courtney

Erma Reeder Courtney Born Feb. 1st 1930 - Nov.29th 2008 A devoted and giving daughter, wife, sister, mother and grandmother. She was a true matriarch to her family. She always welcomed everyone to her home, at any time to share a good story or two. She was an avid gardener and her yard glowed with love for her flowers and birds. Born in Iowa, she moved to Roy, WA with her parents, Roy and Violet Reeder. Graduated from Fife High School, married Lawerence Courtney and began raising a family of 7 children. She was a wonderful seamstress and tailor retiring from Tacoma Nordstom's. She was preceded in death by her husband Lawerence and son Larry Jr. Survived by her other grateful and blessed children, Sue (larrys wife), Carmella, Pat (wife Karen), Karen, Dan, Paul (wife Kirsten) and Pete (wife Sali). She will also be dearly missed by her 22 grandchilren, 10 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren and many more family and friends. The family invites you to join them for a graveside ceremony on December 20th @ 10:30AM at the Roy Cemetery. Open house immediatly following at her home until 4:00PM.
