Obituary of Melo T. Barvich

Melo T. Barvich Born August 14, 1915 in Zookspur, IA; passed on September 12, 2008, in Tacoma, WA, at Heartwood Nursing Home. Before Heartwood Nursing Home, he lived at Spring Ridge Retirement Home. Many thanks to Spring Ridge and Heartwood for their outstanding service and the friends he had. Melo's occupation at twenty-two was a coal miner; he then worked at Bufflen Door Mfg. He was also a veteran of the US Army. Survivors of Melo include his nephews Tony Minarsich of Vashon Island and Larry Barvich of Puyallup, his niece Gloria Symmons of Puyallup, four great nephews/nieces and 10 great-great nephews/ nieces. He will be missed by all who knew him, and he will live on in the hearts of many. Cremation arrangements by Curnow Funeral Home. Melo will rest at Sumner Cemetery with other family members. Remembrances for Melo may be made at the cemetery in Sumner, WA, and if you can, visit someone in a nursing home or retirement home.
