Obituary of Cora Mildred Piper

Cora Mildred (Craig)Piper, 91 of Puyallup died August 8, 2008. Born on October 5, 1916 in the house her Dad built near Buckley. Cora had been a member of Sumner Presbyterian Church for 59 years. She was a member of Sumner Sashayers Square Dance Club. She worked for Van Lierop's picking flowers for many years. She and her husband Tom picked apples in Quincey, Wa to earn money so that they could go to Yuma, Arizona and enjoy the warm weather. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Tom Piper, her brothers Harold Craig and Alfred Craig. She was survived by her daughters, Karin O'Brien of Roy, Judie Hudson of Puyallup and her son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Eloise of Whidbey Island, six grandchildren, Mark O'Brien, Mitchell O'Brien, Candace Carr, Glen Hudson, Joshua Piper and Seth Piper; two grandauhters-in-law, Lisa Hudson and Janet Piper, seven great-grandchildren, Sean, Nick and Katie O'Brien, Zach, Shelby and Jacob Carr, and Katelyn Piper. Memorial services will be held Friday Aug. 16th, 2008 @ 1:30 p.m. at Sumner Presbyterian Church, 1915 Washington Street, Sumner, WA. Memorials may be made to the recreation departments at Rainier Vista or Merrill Gardens.
