Obituary of Beulah M. Cates

Beulah Merle Cates, born August 1, 1915 passed away August 3, 2008 at the age of 93. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard (1989) and is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Wilma and Art Yenter. Beulah leaves behind three grandchildren; Wendy Karboski (Larry), Lori Heather & Rick Heather (Kristin) and seven great-grandchildren; Margaret, Alicia, Nathan, Ashley, Olivia, Sarah and Casey. Beulah was 1 of 15 children born to Myrtie & Walter Pierce in Thomasville, MO. She is survived by three sisters; Pauline, Esther & Bonnie (Missouri) and two brothers; Paul & Ben (Morton); along with numerous nieces and nephews. Four brothers and five sisters have preceded her in death. Leonard & Beulah lived in the Puyallup Valley for 38 years. Beulah was a kind and thoughtful mother, grandmother and friend who enjoyed gardening, crocheting and visits from her great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 8, 2008 at 1:00 p.m at Woodbine Cemetery, Puyallup. Arrangements by Curnow Funeral Home (253) 863-2800.
