Obituary of Dunham Alva Turnipseed

Dunham Alva Turnipseed went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, July 27, 2008. Dunham was born August 12, 1931, to Rolla and Pearl Turnipseed. He is survived by his wife, Renate Turnipseed, daughters Pamela Franklin (David) and Sandra Kersey (Robert), step-son David Boswell (Cheryl), grandchildren Rebecca Nelson-Denmark (Hayes), Gregory Dunham Nelson (Angela), Robbie Nelson, Lauren Kersey Tweed (Ben), Rob Kersey, Austin, Jonathan and Desiree Boswell, great grandchildren Jacob Dunham Nelson, Michael Nelson and a little Tweed on the way, mother-in-law, Trudy Johnson, brother Kent Turnipseed (Janice) and sister-in-law Bertha Turnipseed, along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Dunham was preceded in death by his parents Rolla and Pearl Turnipseed, brother Pernell Turnipseed and sister Joy Cole. Dunham will be remembered by those who loved and knew him as a man who had a heart for helping others, and sharing his love for Jesus. He loved life and found joy in simple pleasures including time with his family, enjoying the great outdoors with his fishing buddies, and a good cup of hot black coffee! A celebration of Dunham's life will be held Friday, August 1, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Rainier View Christian Church, 12305 Spanaway Loop Rd. South, Spanaway, WA. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Dunham's name can be made to Rainier View Christian Church, Mission Fund.
