Obituary of James Allen

James "Bob" ALLEN Age 85, of Federal Way passed away March 20, 2008. Bob was born in International Falls, MN. on March 5, 1923 to George and Teresa Allen. He served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theater during WW II and received the Purple Heart for injuries he incurred in combat missions. He is preceded in death by his first wife Marion (Bolstad) and son Jim. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years Shaaron, daughter in law, Shirley; sons, Mike (Marlene), Dan (Diana), Tom (Cheryl), Terry (Cathy), 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, numerous brothers and sisters in law, nephews, nieces and cousins. Bob worked at Boeing until his retirement in 1985. He spent his retirement years conducting and playing in his big band "Satin Sound", working in his shop, traveling, loving and heckling his wife, sons, grandkids, relatives and friends. Pops, Grandpa and "Sugar Man" will be sorely missed. A Graveside Service will be held Friday March 28, 10:30 a.m. at Tahoma National Cemetery. A Memorial Gathering will be held Saturday March 29, at 1:00 p.m. at the Twin Cedars Clubhouse, 37301 28th Ave. S. Federal Way. In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite charity.
