Obituary of Joan M. Nussbaum

Joan M. Nussbaum Sun Rise November 8th, 1937 Sun Set March 5th, 2008 She will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 50 years, Duane, her children, Debbie, Tena, Punky, Bobby Jo and Amy, sons in-law, 15 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, her sister Sharon and brother Jim, many cousins, in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. Joan has graduated from this world to be with her son Brian, her mother, and her sister Jean. She loved to travel with Duane in their motor home, and had the pleasure of visiting Alaska, Canada, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Mexico, the entire lower 48 plus their annual trek to Arizona. She experienced her life-long dream in 2006 and accompanied her daughters on a trip to Donegal, Ireland to visit the O'Donnell homestead. She loved to sew and make things with her hands. She was creative in crafts and was always there to help her children the night before their big project was due. She was very well known and loved for her volunteer work in the Tacoma area Campfire day camp program. She loved camping with her family, flying kites on the beach, and relaxing with her "babies" Poncho and Sunny. Through her example, she has raised all of her daughters to be very strong women and "We will carry on". We will celebrate Joan's life Monday, March 10, 2008 at 2:00. LDS Church, 11214 214th Ave E, Bonney Lake, WA 98391. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Joan's name to the American Cancer Society at their website: cancer.org.
