Obituary of Janet M Green

Surrounded by her family, Jan passed away peacefully on March 4, 2008 in Puyallup, WA after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on May 13, 1952 in Chanute AFB, IL to Stan and Doris Michalek. Jan graduated from Puyallup High School and the University of Washington. She was a dedicated employee and worked for the past ten years as the volunteer services manager at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Jan will be remembered by all for her kind and giving personality. She had a special way of making each person she met feel important. She loved to shower her friends and family with special little gifts, which she found great joy in finding. Jan is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Gene Green; her son, Christopher; mother, Doris Michalek; her siblings, Sister Pat Michalek, OSF; Richard Michalek (Gwen); Kate Stevenson; Mary Melton (Wayne); Arlene Sambila; Ken Michalek (Gwendolyn) and many nieces and nephews all of whom she dearly loved and unfailingly spoiled. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, March 10, at 10 am at St Andrew Catholic Church, 1401 Valley Avenue, Sumner, WA 98390 with a reception immediately following at the church.
