Obituary of Gordie Wood
Gordie Wood A man who loved people, horses, hunting and dancing. Gordie was known for his authentic personality, a horseshoer, rancher and builder of Oakwood Arena. He was an original founder of Tacoma Polo Club, member of Tacoma Unit and lifetime member of Woodbrook Hunt Club. A celebration will be held 1:00 pm at Lacamas Hall at 32113 8th Ave S., Roy on March 8. At Gordie's request a gathering will follow at Tacoma Polo Club. Everybody welcome. Donations in Gordie's name may be made to Hospice, 2901 Bridgeport Way W., University Place, WA 98466 and Kids Polo Training at 202 288th St. S., Roy, WA 98580.
