Obituary of Beverly Jean Swanson

Beverly Jean Swanson (Davis) Passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup, WA on Feb. 28, 2008 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Beverly was born on Feb. 10, 1946 in Marysville, CA. She is survived by her loving husband, Benjamin, of 39 years, a son, Justin, of Sumner, a daughter, Shandra Gammon, her husband Russell and granddaughter Lindsey or Ruckersville, VA, a brother, Danny Davis, of Pleasant Grove, CA, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws. Her parents Elmer John Davis and Evelyn Ellen Davis (Harris), along with brothers Roy and Gerald, preceded her in death. Bev's greatest loves were her family and doing volunteer work. She was a constant companion and soul mate to her husband while he worked in the United States, Europe, and Asia, where they lived for many years. Her love and desire to help people was evident in each country she lived by the countless hours of volunteer work she performed. Bev worked as a volunteer at the Good Samaritan Gift Shop for many years; she loved talking about the people she met there. During her 7 years of work as a cashier at the Sterino Farms fruit stand in Fife she met so many wonderful people. She called them her customers because they were all so special to her - she wants to thank them all. A special thanks to the wonderful staff at Good Samaritan Hospital for the professional care she received. Bev was a joy to everyone she knew and will be missed by everyone. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Bev's name to your favorite charity. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2008, 1pm at Sumner United Methodist Church, 901 Wood Ave. Please sign the online guest book at www.curnowfuneralhome.com .
