Obituary of David Andrew Rozario

David Andrew Rozario passed away on Thursday February 21st, 2008 in Puyallup, WA. Dave was born November 26th, 1968 in San Francisco, CA to Sharon Olsen and Brian Rozario. He was a happy baby, and from early on his mother knew she would have her hands full. He was happiest when his feet were moving, he never crawled, just scooted then ran as soon as he could walk.He was quite independent from the age of 2. He was the typical mischievous boy, keeping his mother on her toes. At the age of 12 his parents divorced and he lived with his father in Fresno and Grandparents who he also kept busy keeping an eye on him. While in Fresno his father met and married Claudia, his stepmother. He took the California High School Equivalence Exam in 10th grade and started earning his own way in the world. He worked with his dad doing roofing jobs and later learned the craft of carpentry and construction. He met and married Cathy and had 2 sons with her Andrew (19) and Joshua (17). They later divorced and he met Dawne and moved to Washington , together they had his daughter Deidre (8). He had a few loves, driving fast, having fun and serving others. He gave of himself, his time and his talents often, he was willing to help anyone in need. In 2004 he met the love of his life Jolene. They met online and talked all night, hanging up the phone only because he had to go to work. The next day his car broke down and Jolene came to his rescue. She was different from the other girls he had dated and his family liked her right away. She saw in him what Christ sees in him, the love that shone so naturally from his eyes, that when he smiled his whole face smiled. Their love for each other brought out the best in both of them and together they were a wonderful team. They were married June 25th 2005. Enjoyed a wonderful honeymoon in Maui where they both really enjoyed learning how to surf. They settled into life in Puyallup where he was a wonderful father to Jolene's 4 other kids Nikita, Tylor, Cody, and Jerica. But their love was not complete with out welcoming into their family a beautiful baby boy Brian, born on June 24th 2007. The last four years of his life he was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Blessing all he came in contact with there as a true disciple of Christ, serving in the church as a ward missionary and maintaining and cleaning the church building. He was employed in the construction business for 23 years and had recently joined the Union Local 470. Dave was a loyal friend, the kind of friend that one is truly lucky to have in their life. His best friends were his wife Jolene, Lance Mathena and Don Grantham. His drive and determination in life served him well as he served others. Whatever project he started he did all the way, very focused and complete. One could correctly say of him that he had lived his life to it's fullest. There was never a dull moment with Dave around. He held many roles in life husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He will be missed, but we know he is with our loving Father in Heaven and we will see him again. He was proceeded in death by his father Brian Rozario and daughter Jessica. He is survived by his wife Jolene of Puyallup and children Andrew, Joshua, Deidre and Brian, step-children Nikita, Tylor, Cody, Jerica, and foster daughter Stephanie, mother, Sharon of New Mexico, step-mother Claudia of California, brother Llew and sister-in-law Heather of Nevada, sister Suzanne of Florida, and half-brother Benjamin of New Mexico.
