Obituary of Charlotte Kienitz

Charlotte Kienitz was born in Little Falls, Minnesota on August 20, 1924 to Oscar and Edna Lagerquist. She went to be with her Lord on February 20, 2008. She graduated from high school, attended St. Cloud College, and worked in a doctor's office. On August 30, 1947 she married Leroy (Bud) Kienitz. Bud and Charlotte were a close couple who loved spending time together. They raised two children and enjoyed 59 years of marriage before his death in 2006. They owned and operated service stations in Minneapolis for many years, and Charlotte kept the books. In 1981, Charlotte and Bud moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas, enjoying retirement and making many friends. In 1995, Charlotte moved with Bud to Puyallup, Washington, where she resided until her death. Charlotte is survived by her daughter Carrie (David) Erickson and son Kent (Sylvia) Kienitz. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Jenny (Adam) Mathieson, Kristen (Scott) Kegley, Sondra Erickson, Ryan Kienitz and Felicia Kienitz, great-granddaughter Avery Mathieson, and sister Gladys Linde. Charlotte was a godly woman who loved the Lord, faithfully attended her church, and was always ready to share a smile and enjoy a conversation with anyone who crossed her path. She took great delight in her family, whom she loved deeply. A memorial service to celebrate Charlotte's life and faith will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at Bethany Baptist Church, 713 South Hill Park Drive in Puyallup. Gifts in memory of Charlotte can be made to Bethany Baptist Church. Arrangements by Curnow Funeral Home (253) 863-2800.
