Obituary of Sofus G. Sorensen

Sofus G. Sorensen, 77, a 15 year resident of McCleary and former resident of Buckley passed away January 11, 2008 in Olympia. He was born on October 19, 1930 in Dayton, WA. to Sofus and Leonnora (Carpenter) Sorensen. Sofus worked in construction where he was a member of the Labor Union #440. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his grandchildren. Survived by his wife of 40 years, Sandra; children, Delbert Sorensen, Tracy Sorensen, Hilda O'Crotty, Sofus James Sorensen, Samantha Boyer; three brothers, three sisters, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Viewing will be held Friday 2-7 p.m. at Curnow Funeral Home, 1410 Main St. Sumner. 863-2800. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, 1 p.m. at the Sumner United Methodist Church, 901 Wood Ave. Interment to follow at the Orting Cemetery.
