Lucile Williams was born March 24,1925 in Nashville, Tennessee. She married her one and only husband, Chris Kinkead, and moved to Kent in 1946. Her and her husband built their first home on East Hill where Chris later owned a service station and Lucile was the bookkeeper. While raising their family, she was a den mother in the cub scouts and participated with her daughters in 4H, Bluebirds and Rainbow Girls. She excelled in cooking and sewing often baking doll cakes for birthdays and making quilts and clothing for her children. In the early 70's, Chris and Lucile built their current home which is still owned by the family. She was interested in flowers, birds and other wildlife, visiting famous gardens wherever she travelled. She was very active in her church. Chris died in 2006, whereupon Lucile was diagnosed with Alzheimer's which ended her life on October 7, 2012. She will be fondly remembered by her two sons, Dennis and Carl of Kent, Washington, and daughters Carol Sells of Kent, Cindy Kinkead of Federal Way and Christie Davis of Darien, Connecticut.
