Obituary of Clarence Lehr

Butch (Clarence W.) Lehr, Jr. April 4, 1963 -September 18, 2012 Butch passed away peacefully after a courageous and brave battle with cancer. He never lost hope. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Samantha, and two sons, Michael and Andy of University Place. He will also be missed by his kitties Simba and Majik. Butch leaves behind his in-laws Ron and Dorothy Coble and many loving extended family members. He is also survived by his parents Butch and Pat Lehr, and sisters Laurie and Lisa, all of Manchester, PA. Butch proudly served in the US Army for 13 years, and worked in the family business while delivering newspapers from 1996 - 1999. He then became a valued manager in the circulation department at the News Tribune from 1999-2009. Butch and his best friend Darin Steiner formed ABC Distribution Services, and Butch continued there until his passing. Butch was an extremely caring and compassionate individual who always looked out for others. He loved spending quiet time with his wife and was extremely proud of his sons and the men they were becoming. He always told us "we'll get through it, everything will be fine." He loved lacrosse, the Mariners, Seahawks, and NASCAR racing. He called Mt. Rainier "my mountain" and loved looking out his office window to view the mountain while he worked. Butch, we all love you, and you will be greatly missed by your family, friends, and your many co-workers.
