Obituary of Michelle Lynn Wood

Michelle Lynn Hutchins Wood, 43 It is with sadness and celebration of life that Michelle Hutchins Wood’s loving husband and family announce her passing on July 24th, 2012. Born October 8th, 1968, Michelle was vibrant, compassionate, and forever loving wife, daughter, sister and friend. Forever surrounded by music, laughter and love, Michelle spent her early years in Minnesota and moved to Washington State with her family at the age of 10. She graduated from White River High School in 1987 and pursued a career in music broadcasting. Shortly after, she met the love of her life in Mark, her husband of 23 years. They were married on March 27th, 1989 and ultimately established their home in North Bend, WA. In addition to Michelle’s love of people, she had a deep passion for animals, which led to her work with Pasado’s Safe Haven and extended to her “kids”, her beloved dogs. Michelle is survived in her new journey with Christ by her husband Mark Wood (WA), Father Robert Hutchins (MN), Mother Judy Martinson Weaver (WA), Step Father Lynn Weaver (AZ), Brothers Todd Hutchins (WA), Daniel Weaver (WA), and Sisters Jessica Kulaas (WA), Sue Yokoyama (HI), Nephews Kyle, Teigen and Liam (Jessica), Father and Mother-in-law, Richard and Wanda Wood, the Wood Family, as well her lifelong friend Cathy Lavin. Michelle and her contagious smile will forever remain in our hearts as an individual who loved life and shared an unrivalled optimism with every person that was blessed by her presence. We invite you to share in our remembrance of her life for a graveside service at 11:00am on Friday, August 3rd, 2012, at the Orting Cemetery: 19600 Orting-Kapowsin Hwy, Orting, WA 98360 and a memorial service/reception immediately following at the Faith Covenant Church: 1915 Washington Street, Sumner, WA 98390.
