Obituary of Harry Donald Arms

Harry Donald Arms born November 22, 1927 in Alliance Nebraska to parents William and Anna (Tyler) Arms died at home on July 18, 2012 surrounded by his family. Harry served in the Army during World War II in occupied Japan, and then in Korea during the Korean War. He was awarded several military honors while enlisted. Upon retirement from the military, Harry moved to Grants Pass Oregon where he met his wife of 51 years Beverly Elaine Dias. Harry became a skilled cabinetmaker building custom cabinets for fishing boats and yachts, eventually owning and operating his own small cabinet business. Before retiring a "final" time he dedicated his time and energy to St. Andrews Catholic Church in Sumner as caretaker. As a long-time member of All Saints Catholic Church in Puyallup Harry, devoted many hours to the food-bank, school, and St. Francis House. He is survived by his wife Bev and his four children Stacy Mains (Todd), Laina Arms, Kim Butters (David) and Matthew Arms (Rich). His six grandchildren; Jake, McKenna, Anthony, Josh, Jonah, and Jesse will also miss him. Special thanks to Hospice and family friend Annette Milanoski for their dedication and loving support. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, August 4 at 11 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, Puyallup. A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 6 at 10:15 a.m. at Tahoma National Cemetery.
