Obituary of James H Stumpf

James (Jim) Harold Stumpf “Stump” May 17, 1935 – June 27, 2012 Born on the family farm in Kalona, Iowa, Stump passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was a proud veteran serving in the Army and Air Force. He retired from ACME Inter-city Transport and was a proud union member of Teamster locals 313 and 174. Dad loved spending time at the cabin chopping wood and being with family and friends. Stump was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, John and Tom, and one grandson. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Joan, children: Jane (Ben) Allen, Judy (Jeff) Rastelli, Jesse (Karen) Stumpf, Jody, and Joni, grandchildren: Jeremy, Jeff, Payden, Tanner, Drea and one great-granddaughter, Alyssa, and 4 sisters: Marge Snyder of Kalona, Iowa, Liz Charbonneaux of Bremerton, Washington, Jane Cannon of Madres, Oregon, and Jonane Chalupa of Kalona, Iowa. A celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 pm, Sunday, July 1, 2012 at the Wilkeson Eagles, 534 Church Street (State Route 165), Wilkeson, Washington. We miss you and can’t wait to see you again.
