Obituary of Kirsten L. Anderson

Kirsten L. Anderson, mother of two children died at Linden Grove Nursing home in Puyallup, Washington losing her battle with pancreatic cancer at the age of 40. Kirsten was born in San Diego, California to Mary Ann (Whitlatch) & Daniel Anderson. The family moved to Redmond, Washington when Kirsten was 2 months old. Kirsten attended Sandburg Elementary, Finn Hill Jr. High, and Juanita High School graduating in 1989. Kirsten loved playing soccer and baseball. She lettered in gymnastics. Kirsten had the same good friends all through her school years. After graduation, Kirsten went to work in the dental and orthodontics field. She loved that. She had braces put back on twice, resulting in a beautiful smile. Kirsten married in 1993 to Brett Thomas and later divorced, raising her two children, Alexis and Taylor, by herself. Kirsten is survived by her children Alexis and Taylor, her mother Mary Whitlatch, stepfather Michael Whitlatch, father Daniel Anderson, stepmother Barbara Anderson, her brother Christopher Anderson, his daughters Kelsie and Caley, stepsisters Sheila Emara and Rachel Whitlatch, Laurie Sween, Lisa Tiffany, stepbrother Brent Tiffany, many cousins, aunts, and uncles and grandfather Edwin Anderson. She is also survived by her three Guardian Angels, Christina, Phyllis and Lisa. Funeral services for Kirsten Anderson will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Friday, April 6, at the Sumner United Methodist. 901 Wood Ave. Sumner. Burial will be at Woodbine Cemetery 2323 9th St SW Puyallup.
