Obituary of William Shayne Noel

WILLIAM SHAYNE NOEL, 41, of Tacoma, WA went to be with his Heavenly Father early Monday morning, March 5, 2012. Shayne was born in Tacoma on April 24, 1970. He graduated from Rogers High School, Puyallup, WA, in 1988 and then attended the Culinary Arts Institute in Seattle. Shayne was a former Chef for the Tacoma Golf and Country Club in Lakewood. Shayne had friends in every walk of life. He was a compassionate person, many times spending his entire paycheck on hot meals for the homeless. (He said that he had never gone hungry and it wasn’t right that others should.) He had an adult form of cancer when he was four and the treatment left him with a heart condition as an adult. Although he was unable to work the last few years of his life, he never stopped caring for those less fortunate than himself. He will be missed by many, including his parents, James and Cherry Noel of Tacoma, sister, Laura (Bill) Lang of Lacey, WA, grandmother, Bessie Maranville of Russell, KS, nephews, Steven, David, and Trevor Blank, Aunts and Uncles, Errol and Jo Anne Maranville of Waldo, KS; Jane Maranville of Seattle, WA; Larry and Marilyn Noel of Bellevue, WA; Lewis and Gail Noel of Reno, NV; and Steve and Cheryl Noel of Centralia, WA, as well as a host of great aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held Friday evening, March 9th, at the Curnow Funeral Home – 1504 Main St, Sumner, WA from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A celebration of Shayne’s life will be held at the Aspen Chapel –Mountain View Memorial Park – 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. SW – Lakewood, WA, on Saturday, March 10th, at 1:00 pm with interment in Mountain View Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of the Curnow Funeral Home, Sumner, WA
