Obituary of Walter H. Freitag
Walter H. Freitag (86) died Nov. 30 in Bellevue, WA. Born in Iowa to Walter and Elsa Freitag, Walt served during WWII in France & Germany (102 Infantry Ozark Div);awarded the Silver Star, Croix de Guerre, Purple Heart with Cluster. He was a U of Iowa graduate (BSME / BSIE) & Reg. Prof. Engineer. He married Margaret (Margo) in 1950. They raised 2 daughters while making career opportunities in the U.S., Canada & Europe an adventure. He held leadership roles with Sperry Corp., PACCAR, his own executive search firm, & in community service. Survived by Margo; daughters Martha & Jayne; grandchildren Kristiane, Kirk & Meredith.
