Obituary of Trish Barnes Sanford

Trish Sanford has passed away. Struck by a car while out walking, she never regained consciousness and peacefully passed surrounded by family and friends Friday, Dec. 2. She was 63 years old. Born and raised in the Washington, D.C. area, Trish relocated to Washington in 1972 with her husband of 41 years, Bill. Her husband, son Eric, and daughter Amy survive her, as well as her father William Barnes and brother Bill Barnes. Trish was a licensed social worker and mental health therapist for the last 30 years. A graduate of the University of Maryland, she received her master's from the University of Washington. Trish was a selfless helper of all she met and an advocate you always wanted in your corner. All who knew Trish will miss her dearly. There will be a memorial service at Mt. View Lutheran Church in Edgewood, Sun., Dec. 11, 2011, 3pm. Donations may be made to Lifecenter Northwest Organ Donation Organization.
